The northern beaches of Cairns provide endless holiday opportunities
in everything from resorts to private beachside cabins. Take a virtual
tour!
Twenty minutes north of the Cairns City Center in Tropical North Queensland
are the beautiful Northern Beaches. Identified by the swaying palm trees,
sandy beaches and tropical outlook, the Cairns Northern Beaches as they're
known. never fail to delight our visitors.
Water activities can be enjoyed at the beaches almost year round due
to our wonderful climate. In the summer months, as with most tropical
locations, we have the visits from marine stingers/box jellyfish. Our
beach locations have adapted to this natural problems by implementing
"stinger enclosures" and the beauty of most resorts and beachfront
holiday spots is they have pools which overlook the ocean, and you don't
need to worry about sand in your drink if you take it poolside !
Yorkeys Knob
Private yachts and motor launches from around the world moor at the new
Yorkey's Knob Marina and 3 courses are available for for golfers.
Palm Cove
Palm Cove is the next beach area in line and offers many restaurants and
eating places. A great combination of tropical lifestyle and tourist conveniences.
Trinity Beach
Our favourite (of course) due to a combination of holiday conveniences
without being spoiled by over-development.
Ellis Beach
Ellis Beach offers beachfront bungalows and a caravan park and camping
area. A real tropical getaway.
Port Douglas
The resort township of Port Douglas is a true luxury holiday experience.
With resorts like Mandalay Shalimar and the Sheraton Mirage, there is
something for everyone who wants to spoil themselves
