The village of Kuranda nestles among the World Heritage listed rainforests of North Queensland in the coastal ranges, about 25 kilometers from Cairns. Kuranda spawns about 315 acres of real Australian bush land supporting a wide variety of native fauna and flora to explore.

Kuranda is a small community 400m above sea level and about 25 kms from Cairns and 75 kms from Port Douglas, surrounded by tropical rainforest, and easily accessible to the Great Barrier Reef. It has an established vibrant arts/crafts community, and is the destination village for Kuranda Skyrail and Kuranda Traveltrain. Kuranda is also a popular summer escape from the heat of the coastal strip.
